**Attention!!** There will be a fundraiser concert tonight at the La Grande Masonic Building for the Elgin Huskies Band & Choir group! It will be from 6:00pm-7:30pm! Band, choir, and calypso will be performing! They will have lots of great silent auction items as well. It will be a really enjoyable evening to all who are able to attend! See flyer below!
Good evening Stella Mayfield families! Math and Movement is tomorrow night at 6-7pm for all k-2nd graders in the gymnasium. Students will practice their math skills while getting to move and exercise. Participants will get to meet the high school basketball players running each station, and will go home with a prize from each station they complete. We hope to see you there!

The American Heart Association is excited to extend their work with the NFL to support improving health outcomes at home and beyond through the Hands-Only CPR education. Students that complete the Finn’s Mission learning module will earn an entry for two tickets to Super Bowl LIX in 2025 and our school will be entered to receive a $10,000 fitness equipment makeover for every 18 completed Finn’s Missions.

Coraline was recognized by her teacher, Mrs. Stratton, for showing compassion and empathy. Mrs. Stratton states, "we had a friend in class who was really struggling... Coraline walked up to him and asked if she could give him a hug-- through this compassionate moment, every one of the other students also went up to the struggling friend to give hugs. The whole class loved on this friend. It was a beautiful show of empathy and love."

Kylee was recognized by her teacher, Mr. Sage, for showing Kindness. Mr. Sage states " This past week, Kylee noticed that a classmate had misplaced some of their class materials. She immediately stopped what she was doing to go and help the student find the missing materials. It was very appreciated by the student in need as well as staff who observed the kind act. This is not the first time Kylee has exhibited kindness by being helpful to others. She is constantly volunteering to help out and you can tell she does it with a good attitude and a desire to improve someone else's day. Way to go Kylee, Stella Mayfield is lucky to have such a kind and caring community member."

Oliver recognized this, showed empathy, and gave the bigger planet he had to his friend and took the smaller one. Oliver, your big heart shines through you! Thank you!"

Issak was recognized by our wonderful Lunch Ladies, Heidi and Stanna, for showing Thoughtfulness. Heidi and Stanna state "After breakfast Issak noticed the lunch ladies gathering up the trash. Without hesitation he asked if they needed help, before they could answer, he grabbed all the trash (which was a lot) and took it to the dumpsters.
